Aviation is incomplete without airlines and airports. The airlines need pilots to fly their aircraft and fly them efficiently. To become an airline pilot one requires various levels of certification and training before you apply to become a pilot with a regional or commercial airline.
An airline pilot’s job is to fly passengers and other crew members from one destination to another. They have to navigate the flight path using specialized equipment and control the other features of the movement of the plane. In the cockpit, there are two pilots present during any flight i.e. captain and the first officer. They fly multi-engine aircraft for which great technical knowledge is required. They have to be in constant touch with the ATC and use radar to understand their flight path.
A candidate aspiring to be a pilot must be at least 23 years of age and have a 20/20 vision after wearing corrective lenses if not naturally. To become a pilot you must go to FAA authorized institute where in you receive a degree in aviation and pilot training at the same time. The candidate must obtain a private pilot license by learning about basic flight methods, aircraft maneuvers, navigation, flight planning and emergency training. The pilot must acquire instrument rating by training to use sophisticated instruments that help in guiding a plane through different weather altitudes and conditions. After learning all this learning, the pilot should obtain a commercial pilot license to fly the cargo and passenger planes. They can add a rating of multi-engine aircraft to their single-engine commercial pilot license. The airlines require a minimum number of flight hours before even becoming a first officer and the best way to earn those hours and experience is by becoming a flight instructor. As per FAA to become an airline pilot you must have at least 1500 flight hours which can be done through training classes and flight instructor.
