The aviation industry hires a lot of professionals every year due to its expanding markets. The individuals are taking up courses to be selected by an airline or an airport. The airlines have many departments under which an individual can be a part of it. - CAPTAIN: The highest position given to any pilot is the Captain and also called the commander of the aircraft. The captain usually has 3000 hours of flight hours and sits on the left side of the aircraft and is responsible for the entire crew on board. The captain has 4 stripes on their uniform.
- SENIOR FIRST OFFICER: The senior first officer is the second in command after the captain and acts as a co-pilot. SFO is also a highly experienced pilot and can be seated in the place of the captain whenever he is taking a break. They are expected to have a minimum of 1500 hours of flight time.
- FIRST OFFICER and SECOND OFFICER: The first officer and second officer is not as experienced as the captain and the SFO but they are present on long-haul flights so the Captain and SFO can get adequate rest during the flight. They have 2 stripes on their uniform.
The pilot salary also depends on the rank they are holding currently and gets a good hike over time.
